I am an anglophile. And a Potterhead.

I wish I was British instead of American.

Everything in the United Kingdom (and Ireland) just seems so much lovelier than everything in the United States.

Why wasn't I born British?

Also, why can't Hogwarts be real?

I just want to be eleven years old and on my way to Hogwarts. I want to excitedly rip open my acceptance letter, offer the owl who brought it a treat, buy all my supplies and robes at Diagon Alley, and then board the Hogwarts Express, leaving this Muggle world behind, forever. 

Because once you know that you're a witch or a wizard, everything changes. Everything. 

I just want to be British, and I just want Hogwarts to be real. Is that so much to ask?
